Brain stimulation technologies offered include tACS/CES, tDCS, trigeminal, tVNS, deep TMS, individualized frequency stimulation, theta burst stimulation and HRV (heart rate variability) measurement. We were one of the first centers to offer frameless stereotaxic neuro-navigation technology in southern California outside of Los Angeles and San Francisco and the first in the nation to provide TMS using the most advanced TMS systems in the industry: CloudTMS, MagStim, and MagPro .
Dr. Berlow is a board certified psychiatrist who has been licensed to practice medicine in California since 1993. After graduating from medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1990, Dr. Berlow did two years of Neurosurgery residency, then a three year psychiatry residency and an additional two years of advanced training in a Psychopharmacology of Mood Disorders Fellowship, at the UCSD sponsored by the National Institute of Health. Dr. Berlow has published original research, chapters in text books, book reviews, abstracts and conference poster presentations. He has also received advanced training in the new field of Brain Stimulation and EEG at UCSD, Singapore, Geneva, University of Hawaii, CCNY, and Harvard Medical School. In his private practice of psychiatry, he has diagnosed and treated 2,167 different individuals, in more than 29,320 patient visits and has taught psychopharmacology for 17 years at 2 different universities.
